For this test, I stole 3 candies from my daughter’s Halloween stash. And boy, did I pay the price!
First, I started with 3 simple bars, here they are:

Conclusion
This was an interesting test. First I had been fasting for 24hrs, and I was breaking my fast with these 3 chocolate bars.
First Lesson, never break a fast with chocolate bars. After ingesting these bars, my stomach did not feel too good.
Next, notice how high my sugar level rose! Almost 3 times the level from before the bars! After I had them, I noticed I was a little light headed, my legs were a little wobbly, basically I felt kind of weak and shaky.
After 2 hrs my glucose level came down a bit, thankfully, but I still was not feeling well. So I thought I would add some real food at this point, to hopefully soften the blow from high sugar to low sugar.
So I had a meal of salad and meat, actually 2 bowls of this, and that proved to be the wrong strategy too. After this meal I felt nauseous the rest of the night, tired and sleepy, and just wanted to sleep it off.
After this, I told my daughter never eat Halloween candy again!
