For this test, I wanted to see what a typical pasta meal would do to my body, and also how long it would take for me to “recover” from fat storage mode to fat burning mode.
This test also included a session of weight lifting the following morning, which I was surprised to see had a negative effect on my glucose and keytone levels. I will do a further test on just the effect of exercise in the future.
This test included several items from the Rock Bottoms menu:
FIRECRACKER SHRIMP
Fried shrimp, sweet + spicy Thai chili, ginger citrus sauce
ROCKIN’ GUAC
Housemade tortilla chips
CAJUN PASTA
Linguine, grilled chicken, andouille sausage, shrimp, green onions, celerym green peppers, cajun cream sauce

Conclusion
This test can be compared with the Pasta Dinner Test, which contained only pasta and meat sauce.
This meal was larger, and I think contained more protein and fats than the Pasta Dinner Test. The recovery time for this test was less than the Pasta Dinner Test.
What I see interesting here is it took about 2 hrs for my glucose levels to peak (as best as I can measure with a blood glucose measurement). It may have gone higher after that, but it certainly did not stop climbing after the first hour.
But the following morning, my glucose levels had come down, but my keytone levels had not yet started to rise. I was still in fat storage mode based on the Dr. Boz ratio and the GKI value.
I then went to exercise (lift weights) for about 1/2 an hour, and i was surprised to see my glucose levels had increased, and my keytones had decreased. All I had to drink was water.
It was not until 11:30am (lunch time) that my Dr Box ratio showed I was now burning fat, and so I broke my fast at that point and had lunch.
Lesson learned here, is I need to weight at least 17 hrs after a meal like this to process and burn off all the carbs.
